Born on the lush banks of Lake Ontario, the Niagara Region is one of the largest fruit producing areas of Canada. With a district of over 60 wineries, Niagara Wines are emerging as world class products, especially the coveted ice wine. Harvested at -8 Celsius, ice wine grapes produce a unique, robust flavor, only available in climates with cold winters. Other types of popular wine include Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Baco Noir, a legacy of our European heritage. Theatre Vacations is pleased to offer you the Niagara Wine Lovers Experience. Niagara-on-the-Lake, the first capital of English Speaking Canada is a unique blend of European and Canadian culture as are the wines. Enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir in a French Chateau over-looking Wine Country. Next stroll through the former British town of Niagara-on-the-Lake lined with colonial homes and Victorian gardens from bygone era. Highlights of your package include:
Day one Arrive at White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa in the heart of Niagara's Wine Country. White Oaks is a 4.5 Star Property conveniently located just a stone's throw from the highway. After checking in, you may want to take a few hours to unwind before dinner or explore Wine Country on your own. Dinner this evening will be at one of the Vintage Hotels (Queen's Landing, Pillar and Post or Prince of Wales). All 3 properties are located 15 minutes from the hotel and are located within the historic district of Niagara-on-the-Lake. You may also elect to dine at the Gate House Italian Restaurant, also located in the historic village. Day two After finishing your buffet breakfast, you will be met by your Niagara Airbus driver between 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the hotel. No need to worry about driving today as the driver takes you to four premier wineries including samples in the area. The tour will conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m. Upon return to the hotel, you may want to spend the afternoon sauntering about the Old Town or explore more wineries on your own. Day three Buffet breakfast at the hotel in the morning at your leisure. Please remember to check out of the hotel by 10:00 a.m. in order to arrive in time for a very unique experience. Today, we have selected a very special product for you, the Inniskillin Ice Wine Experience. Arguably the best known winery in the area, Inniskillin designed this package exclusively for our clients. The Inniskillin Ice Wine Experience includes a tour of the winery, a private seminar in the cellar where you will sample 4 different types of ice wine with cheese and chocolate pairings, a signed book from the Founder of Inniskillin per couple and a $5 Voucher that may redeemed in the wine shop. This experience exclusive to Theatre Vacations clients begins at 11:00 and finishes at 12:30 p.m.. This may be a good time to explore wine country on your own, by following the Niagara Wine Route. While everyone's wine pallet is unique, please ask for recommendations. 
Cost per person double occupancy: $499 for independent departures-Choose your own dates. A 50% per person deposit is required to confirm reservations on this program. Final payment is due 30 days in advance. Cancellation penalties do apply and for this reason trip cancellation insurance is recommended and available.
